Re: Ten Day Trigger Action

Hi Richard - this is an interesting question. The answer could be one, the other or both. :D I ran this test in an Indigo script window:
Code: Select all
x = indigo.devices[DEVICE ID NUMBER].states['d01_qpf']
indigo.server.log(str(x))

and the result was:
Code: Select all
0.0

Which means that the QPF value is being properly stored as a floating point decimal within Indigo (that's what it should be.) Please run the same test and see what results. If the result that comes back is an error (or nothing at all), that could mean that Weather Underground is providing us an improper value of some kind. I should be able to address that, but without knowing exactly what the problem is, we'll be shooting in the dark.

Re: Ten Day Trigger Action

Yes it is properly stored as a floating point decimal within Indigo. It's a simple little trigger script I will have to do some more digging. On a side note is there any reason why "become greater than" and also "becomes less than" not being displayed as an option in the hourly forecast for a trigger action?

Yes, that is easily explained. The problem that you're encountering is commonly referred to as the "Shortsighted Developer."

I can't explain why the Trigger greater than zero isn't working, but I'll continue digging. As for the less than/greater than issue, I'll have an update posted soon that will address this.

Thanks for the inadvertent beta testing Richard.

Re: Ten Day Trigger Action

At least your a good
"Shortsighted Developer."
actually excellent | only name or place I'am resonated that starts with the letter "D" is doghouse and seem later I'am there quite often.
I change my trigger action to react if "has any change" and so far works ok. Only concern is it has not effected my Block Heater trigger that I posted on feb 06 that uses " becomes greater than" for temp. I hate not able to start my vehicle when duty calls.

Now I must investigate why a can't turn on a GE outdoor module 45604 in a trigger action by using the weather underground plugin by temperature
