Survey - New Weather Device State - Warmer/Colder

The idea is to replicate the Weather Underground statement "Today is forecast to be warmer than yesterday." I have no real basis of reference of what would be the best way to do it and am making it up as I go.

Here's what I'm thinking (comparing today's forecast high to yesterday's actual high, obviously using Fahrenheit as the basis):
0 degrees difference: "...the same as..."
Between 0 and 10 degrees: "...warmer..."
More than 10 degrees: "...much warmer..."
Between 0 and -10 degrees: "...colder..."
More than -10 degrees: "...much colder..."
I am also considering more levels:
    hotter (20)
    much warmer (15)
    warmer (10)
    the same (0)
    cooler (-10)
    much cooler (-15)
    colder (-20)
Any more than that seems to be too many to me.

Thoughts?

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

I would do +/- 1 as "same as".

Since you're looking at a short term trend, I would use smaller deltas. For a one day comparison, 5 degrees seems warmer/cooler, 10 degrees for much warmer/cooler, and 15 or 20 for the next step.

Thanks. I had the same thought about +/- 1. I think a delta of 5F is a good one.

Cheers.

You could use the phrase "similar to" rather than "same as" - would give you a bit more leeway :)

We're on the same wavelength. The current text I have in there is "about the same". :D
