Re: Sonos - The Beginning

Right now either one would work. I only have special logic for the Subwoofer and Playbar. But please choose connect:amp. Thanks!!!

Nick,

For an older ZP 100 Sonos (which has an integrated amp), should the "Model:" in the "Configure Sonos Zone Player" dialogue box be identified as "CONNECT: AMP" or as "Zone Player"?

In the Sonos desktop application, Sonos -> About My Sonos System, identifies my newer Sonos unit as "CONNECT:AMP" as shown in your list, but older units are identified as "ZP100" or "ZP80"

Re: Sonos - The Beginning

I'm so glad it is working. I think we are on an upward trajectory with v8 of the plugin.

Thanks! That did it! Also, v8 is running perfectly on my Indigo6/Snow Leopard system!! Woohoo!! :)

Re: Sonos - The Beginning

I did some more testing. Restarted indigo server and my computer, removed the plugin and installed 8.1 again. Then I managed to get it to work! Thanks for your continued work on this plugin!

Ditto! Thanks Nick, and Happy Thanksgiving. So glad that Sonos is working with Indigo, again.

I only see one error in the log:
Sonos Error SOAPSend warning: waiting for command execution [10.0.1.106:0]

But, things are working really well. Control pages I created long ago had lost functionality, but have regained it. Keypad scenes that integrate Sonos work, again. Announcements work, again. Thanks!!

Re: Sonos - The Beginning

Awesome! Don't worry about the error - I have retry logic for communicating with the ZonePlayers. It is more of a warning than an error.

On plugin, shows that it is playing but it is not

Hey Nick,

Ok...when my CONNECT unit is grouped together with another group, it is always showing as PLAYING even though no content is playing on it.

When I ungroup it and it's standalone, it properly reports it's status (e.g. PLAYING, PAUSED).

Note that I'm running the latest beta of the SONOS system.

Any ideas?

Re: Sonos - The Beginning

Hi Nick. I am curious about how the plugin will handle 2 play 3 units that is set to a stereo pair. When I used a sonos plugin for my Vera box it had some issues with braking the pair when I added the pair in an announcement. So I have not tried to add the pair yet in the indigo plugin. Any thoughts?

I upgraded this morning to 0.8.2 and am now receiving the following errors (debug logging enabled). The previous version .0.6.21 has been working fine, I reverted to it and all is back to normal. Any clues where to look? I'm running Snow Leo 10.6.8

Re: Sonos - The Beginning

Would you please edit each ZonePlayer device and select a model. In the future, I will auto-detect the model. Restart the plugin and all should be well. I need this to filter some states for the PlayBar. Thanks.

Re: On plugin, shows that it is playing but it is not

Heya Nick,

Any updates on this?

Please advise.

Thanks for all the hard work!

Hey Nick,

Ok...when my CONNECT unit is grouped together with another group, it is always showing as PLAYING even though no content is playing on it.

When I ungroup it and it's standalone, it properly reports it's status (e.g. PLAYING, PAUSED).

Note that I'm running the latest production version of the SONOS sw (v5.2).

Any ideas?

Hi. I can't replicate this. Can you take me through each action you take to get to this incorrect state. And tell me what (if any) sources were playing on the single zone player and the group. Thanks.

Re: Sonos - The Beginning

I updated from 6.2 to 8.2 this morning. I'm getting this:

Two issues i'm having:

1 -- the sonos device states are blank. the all have device types assigned. I restarted, reloaded. my speak/play actions work, but the devices do not display the state. it seems like i had this once before, but cannot remember how i remedied it.

2 -- errors in log
Code: Select all

  File "/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 6/Plugins/Sonos.indigoPlugin/Contents/Server Plugin/Sonos.py", line 169, in runConcurrentThread
File "<string>", line 1, in bind
<class 'socket.error'>: (48, 'Address already in use')

Sonos Error                     plugin runConcurrentThread function returned or failed (will attempt again in 10 seconds)

Sonos Error                     Error in plugin execution runConcurrentThread:

Thanks for any help, especially on #1.

edit: downgraded to 6.2, device states show properly

Re: Sonos - The Beginning

On #1, make sure you go into the settings for each Sonos device and set the type of player. That's a new drop-down field with this version. It bit me too. Also #2 is related to #1
