It is lovely stuff though! They used to sell it with the advertising slogan of "Made in Scotland from girders", but they changed it when they started selling it down south as they feared Londoners would actually think it was made from iron. The company that make it have some brilliant adverts you can watch on YouTube

I'm sitting here enjoying my ice cold Irn Bru. I have to say, it's quite good, not too orangy despite the color. I'm now trying to decide what alcohol to mix with it since it's Friday evening. Suggestions?

Damn time zones! I guess I won't get an answer until in the morning. Guess I'll just have to start drinking early!

In all seriousness though, it is a great vodka mixer. Wish we could get it for less than $3+ a bottle.

There was a pre mixed vodka and generic iron brew back in the 90s with adverts with billy Connolly but I can't find them on YouTube!

Tbf im not much of an alcohol drinker.. I prefer my Irn Bru straight . Glad you're enjoying it though.. perhaps if you're ever over here you can try the real stuff that hasn't been watered down for Americans

Good question.. I somehow doubt the people of Scotland would let anyone tamper with it, so I'm gonna say you'd get the original.

Mmmmmm I'd love a tootsie roll right about now! (I can get them at the Tesco supermarket near me but they cost a fortune)
