Re: Crazy Alabama weather

Oh, that is "snow"? I thought the humidity in the air just froze! :-o

We even had a decent amount all the way down here... the snow on the roof was even with the skylight so it was at least 3" there. You definitely had more!

Re: Crazy Alabama weather

We just got a tiny bit (maybe a quarter inch) but around here that counts as a blizzard...

Really gotta finish the Christmas lights this weekend, it's looking pretty pathetic at the moment...

That’s my normal 10 minute drive to work, to avoid 30 minute drive through town.

No chance I was taking it this morning but my mad colleagues did - just past the gritter you can see the road disappears - it’s a downhill slalom dropping down into the gorgeous valley but boy do you not want to slide!

Crazy Alabama weather

Wow I couldn’t do that all the time, I’m way too warm-blooded. In 24 hours all this devil’s dandruff will be gone and I’m totally fine with that!

Obligatory clip of Buford Calloway explaining the horror:

Re: Crazy Alabama weather

At one-minute after midnight at my house on Christmas Eve in Sandy, Utah 10 miles south of Salt Lake City. A few miles away they have some auto dealerships and when a little fog sets in the night sky lights up. Thats the glow in the sky over the home. It’s rare.

It’s been snowing here too in the north east of England. It’s actually pretty rare it snows in our part (a little bit down the way and north it snows LOTS but here it’s not common), and it very seldom lies on the ground. Last time I remember it here was 2009 I think.

Re: Crazy Alabama weather

Just saw this... what a cute little car you have there. I think Terry's truck actually eats those for snacks when he drives on the interstate.

Re: Crazy Alabama weather

Ha! That’s not my car.. mines smaller than that ;). In my new world order when I become the benevolent ruler of the world (soon) all large cars will be banned unless you can prove necessity for them.. eg farmers or someone that lives in the middle of nowhere where access roads are in poor condition. Along with this I’ll be banning bell peppers, organised religion and people who can’t reverse into parking bays first time from attempting it. Bell peppers are my priority though.

As soon as you do, I'll relabel a bunch of Ghost peppers as Jalapenos and send them your way...

Re: Crazy Alabama weather

See I don’t mind Jalapeños.. they’re just meh to me.. but bell peppers.. the taste infuses with everything you cook it with ruining it completely.. you just can’t pick them out of the food! So yeah.. they’re going to be destroyed and anyone found growing them will be executed immediately. It’s an unfortunate but necessary requirement.
