Indigo Domotics

From what I can tell, there is the ability to get a log file printed to a serial printer. Has anyone had success connecting serial output to Indigo? I'd like to monitor activity and trigger insteon scenes, etc via indigo..

Interested in learning about hardware and general interface solutions that anyone has had success-with.
