Re: Russound RNET Plugin

Hi Nick. Thanks for the prepend of Sonos. I see the result in the dialogs, but they do not appear in the action list. See screenshot.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by not showing up in the action list. Can you post a screen shot of what is not showing up as expected? Thanks!

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

I did post the screen shot. See, for example, where the list shows "volume". My audio system includes Sonos and Russound. They both have volume settings, so it would be nice to have them differentiated. The other case in the action list is the sonos siriusxm channel but does not show which channel.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

Is the volume action from the Russound or Sonos plugin? I have not gotten around to the Russound plugin yet.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

I think you will need to edit each action and just save again for the new values to show up. I just tried and my end and that seemed to do the trick. As far as displaying the actual value in the action list, that is more of an Indigo thing. I will see what I can do, but not hopeful.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

Glad it worked. I will be MIA for a while with user enhancements. Going to try to move to event based processing and end the polling. At the least, I will be able to pick up next track data which is no longer available by polling services.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

Nick, the plugins have been working great until just now. I changed the IP address of the Zone Player to a static IP. My router was changing IPs and I decided to fix them. The player is working fine but the plugin now gets errors. Any suggestion?

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

You changed the Sonos IP address in the device configuration? After that, you should only need to restart the plugin.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

This is the other string of error message that may have a clue. Broken pipe?

Russound Error Error in plugin execution ExecuteAction:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "plugin.py", line 74, in actionSetZoneVolume
File "/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 5/Plugins/Russound.indigoPlugin/Contents/Server Plugin/Russound.py", line 810, in actionGeneric

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

Both the Russound and Sonos error tell me that there is no response from the IP configured on the opposing end. Can you verify the IP address of each device. For the StarTech, you should be able to connect to the administrative web page using the IP address you have configured for the Russound device in Indigo. Do the same for the Sonos -- using the following url: http://<ip address of ZonePlayer>:1400/status/zp.

Let me know how you do with both.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

Hi Nick. Making progress. Definitely have IP issues getting the static IP addresses engaged. I was able to fix the Startech RS232 address and RNET is working fine once again. The Sonos still getting error messages. I saw one just now that reveals the problem. It says "Sonos Error Error getting ZonePlayer data: http://192.168.1.108:1400/status/zp". 108 is not the address of the zoneplayer. The address is 58. The static IP list in the router shows 58 and so does the configuration of Sonos plugin. Any ideas? Following are screenshots.

Re: Russound RNET Plugin

The Sonos dialog you have in your screenshot is of the plugin configuration. You correctly changed the reference ZonePlayer. Please also check the device configuration in Indigo - it is in the device list. Hopefully this is it - change that to the .58 address and you should be good to go.
