Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

My control pages have evolved but use our home's floorplan as the background. Various controls open other control pages (harmony icons open virtual remote controls, nests open up thermostat control, cameras goto camera views/controls, plex icon opens up control page to see who is streaming from me, etc etc). It fits on either an ipad or iphone and we just scroll down to the floor/location to use.

@steinis, I really like those dimmer images. Are you willing to share them?

This was not very effective. What is the best way to share files?

One way is to zip them up and put them in the Contribution Library... ;)

Those are some fancy slider switches! Very nice.

Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

Thanks. Of course you don't actually slide the controls.....you just press/click them, but I liked the visual of a slider toggle. I can't take credit for the control images.....I found the source (Adobe Illustrator) image file online and modified them for the device (usually just changing the word displayed in the slider - an on/off slider, a locked/unlocked slider, a home/away slider, etc. It was a fun project. Of course, I realized after I was done that the sliders are counter-intuitive in that left should be 'off' and right should be 'on'.

And part of me wants to have all controls in 'normal-state' in the same position. So doors locked slider should be in the same position as driveway sensor on. Right now they are in different positions so it makes is hard to see at a glance if something is awry. I'd prefer that all sliders be left when in 'normal-state' and right in 'exception state'.

Guess I am not done yet.

Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

So I modified a few things. Got rid of the block embellishments as they were too distracting. I also changed the slider color scheme - previously, off was red and on was green. I went for a "normal" state to green and an exception state to red so I could easily see what was an exception. Also changed the toggle so left is off/closed and right is on/open. Finally modified the home/away icons....having them as sliders made it appear they were editable, but they instead just display the piBeacon status. I found a nice image for them.

Man, I wish my garage had a party mode. :D

I particularly like the presence indicators on your page.

Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

This is more of a blast from the past or a "how far we've come" pic, but I had to share.

As part of my home office renovation, I've upacked my old Twentieth Anniversary Mac for the first time since moving to this house in 2003. Plugged it all in and it booted right up!

Then XTENsion started automatically and complained about my CM11a not being attached.

And a side note: This is probably the most complete TAM available anywhere right now. If anyone is interested, let me know, because I am going to sell it--unless someone can suggest how a computer running OS 9 can effectively be integrated a sound system, because the Bose system on this thing is amazing.
