Hi Dave,

Your energy page is pretty much perfect in my opinion. I'm going to have to get to work on a similar page with blatant borrowing of your ideas. :D . I especially like the easy to see at-a-glance battery levels. I also have a septic system and I see that you monitor "something" there. Is it tank level or energy/pump usage? What sensors do you use to gather that info? The scope of my system has been primarily limited to the inside of my home (lights and AV equipment). Other than weather conditions and my irrigation system, I haven't looked much beyond my front door.

Thanks! Borrow away. I can make the sliders available if you want to use those too. They're set to 10 percent increments and Indigo handles the display logic natively.

Re: the sceptic monitor, I use an Aeon smart energy switch. I have a unusual system which pumps air into the tank 24/7. Indigo will notify me if the energy usage goes out of range which would mean a pump failure. And since I have the data, why not chart it! :D

Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

How are you guys getting the individual windows created and layout on your control pages backgrounds?

Thanks,

Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

My workflow has been to layout the entire page, buttons and all, in Photoshop
then save out a background template of the complete page to use to line everything up
in the CP editor, then swap that out for the actual background.

Re: Post Pics of Your Control Pages HERE!

I do similar, except I don't have the buttons in my template - I have a multi sized grid of squares, with 60x60, 80x80 and 90x90 squares for alignment. Also have a 60x60 button image which is 24x24 and 36x36 grid inside that I can use to align smaller icons on the same grid. Then swap out.

(Something like that anyway; a while since I modified layouts)

I've been doing the partial-transparency "ghost" buttons to line things up, but I like this approach, may have you steal your idea!

One other thing I started doing post-first-control-page (for "shared" elements) was to drag them off-screen to the desktop which creates an XML snippet. That can then be dragged back on to another page and you'll have the same elements, same location. May have to adjust the "selected" tab/image if you use that, but otherwise links and actions will be in place. Works great for tabs, house-mode style options, temperature, etc. that are sometimes on multiple pages.

Hi,
I'm a newcomer to Indigo just migrating from HC2.
Love the flexibility and customer care :D

I'm still working at my Control Pages but in a meantime I have built a nice AlarmClock with weather info and Camera QuickLook.
It's great not only that you can easily build it but also integrate with Indigo Home so that you can set the Alarm and then start any action you want.
Now my iPad at the bad has a new role :-)

It was almost impossible to do it with HC2.

Here is a sample look - just first attempt.

Looking good! You'll find that it's tough to ever stop tweaking them.

Here's a tip for a weather service that provides graphs that can be inserted in control pages:

http://www.yr.no/place/United_States/New_York/New_York/avansert_meteogram.png

It's a Norwegian site, but they have more or less data for most of the world.

You can search and configure here:
