C. Turns off the Game Control 1 buttons: 2 - 8

Turn on Game Control 1, button 1 (All Games On):

4. Trigger "Games Status ANY - On" sees the Games Status ANY - ON device turned on:
A. Turns on the room lights:
1. A trigger "Light Game Room - ON":
a. Turns on Game room Light, Button 1 if it is not already on.
b. Turns on Game West Porch KPL6 Button 3 if it is not already on.
B. Turns on KPL8 Game Control 2, Button 1 (this is the All games off button)
5. Trigger "Games Status ALL - ON" monitors the virtual device Games Status - ALL and fires if it is on :
A. Turns on the Game Control 1 buttons: 2 - 7

C. Turns off all the Game Control 1 buttons

There are further triggers related to the game room:

1. Trigger that fires at Dusk to dim all LED's throughout the house
2. Trigger that fires at Dawn to brighten all LED's throughout the house
3. Game room specific trigger to brighten the LED's in the game when lights are turned on if it is night
4. Game room specific trigger to dim LED's when lights are turned off if it is dark.

Future Automation for this room will include:
1. Tie in with the DSC alarm system to monitor room occupancy, smoke and widow/door status.
2. Environmental controls based on occupancy or temperature/humidity extreems.
3. Lighting based on occupancy.

Someone should create a rule list of when device status will be forwarded. It took a lot of experimenting to get to this point.

What I have learned:

1. Keypadlinc controlling on/off plug: Indigo gets Keypadlinc button pressed status but not on/off plug status (UPDATE: Top plus status only)
2. Indigo controlling on/off plug linked to a keypadlinc: On/off plug will show in Indigo, but Keypadlinc button status will not update.
3. On/off plug button pressed will indicate in both the keypadlinc and Indigo.

This is apparently a bug - Indigo should recognize the link from the KeypadLinc to the bottom outlet on the dual-controlled OutletLinc as well as from the top. We'll take a look at it for a future Indigo release.

This is outlined in the multi-way article (because of direct commands to the OutletLinc).

Re: Game room automation (UPDATED)

Thank you Jay,

I updated the original post to reflect changing to the top outlet resolving having to do a status check of each plug per our discussion in another area.

It would be cool if I found a way to further reduce the communications although removing the status check saved about 30%.
