My case study now up at Vesternet

Swimming pool?! Log cabin??

So when you hosting the first annual UK indigo users party? I'll get the other half to bake a cake and decorate it with the indigo logo!

As my old Mum used to say "you have all of the luxuries in life and none of the necessities"

so true :D

Don't try to change the subject ;) now how many people can you squeeze into that cabin? Do you have a fully stocked bar at the poolside? I need names, I need places, I need dates!

I'll come over the pond ;) Its a great case study, the best of all of them and showcases the flexibility of Indigo over the competition.

By the way Colin, doorbell is very straightforward, one of my favourites. Wired doorbell into Fibaro D/W sensor and wireless chime. Push notification to phone. Would love to be able to popup the door cam when the event happens though.

Or a fibaro universal sensor if you use a wired bell already

Thanks, I felt I had a duty to make people aware that there are better alternatives to Vera out there

The case study was written a while ago and I have solved the door bell with one from Home Easy using the Rfxcom, works well

While you're arranging the UK Indigo meet-up you've been volunteered to hold I've a mundane question about your Everspring Siren - how have you found the battery reporting in Indigo? I've had mine since last April and it's still showing 100%.

I know it's nearly all batteries in there but I would have thought there would be a drop in the last 10 months, but I'm not see that. You?

Mines showing 90%, not bad as it must be over a year old and outside in the porch, but as you say there is a lot of batteries in side.

OK, so quite normal. Thinking of putting mine outside as well under the man cave porch. Run power on the inside in case I decide to run it off the mains. Also thought about placing it inside a last Really Useful Box to offer it some more weather protection.

Re: My case study now up at Vesternet

Out of interest what do you use the siren for? Is it just an additional security measure?

Re: My case study now up at Vesternet

I did have it set go off if doors etc are opened but had a few accidental triggers so now if I where to get signs of a break in from the cameras to my iPhone, I would just set it off from indigo touch.

Re: My case study now up at Vesternet

I bought it before I installed the DSC Alarm and now have an indoor sounder for that. So I was thinking to either put it in the conservatory or outside under the man cave porch. If the alarm is tripped it sets off the Z-Wave siren as well. You know, to let the whole world know.
