PlugIn Instantiation Question

When I launch Indigo Server on my primary machine, I see the usual stream of log messages - including the following section:

WebServer                        started on port 8176 -- digest authentication enabled
Started plugin "SQL Logger 2.0.5"
SQL Logger                      connected to /Users/hft/Documents/Indigo/indigo_history.sqlite
SQL Logger                      searching for unused device and variable tables
Started plugin "Action Collection 2.0.4"
Started interface "INSTEON Commands 2.0.10"
Started plugin "NOAA Weather Plus 1.1.19"
Started plugin "TED - The Energy Detective 2.0.0"
SQL Logger                      search complete (none found)
SQL Logger                      updating all device tables
TED - The Energy Detective      Your plugin version, v2.0.0, is current.
TED - The Energy Detective      Polling Interval: 5
WebServer                       started on port 8176 -- digest authentication enabled
Started plugin "SQL Logger 2.0.5"
SQL Logger                      connected to /Users/hft/Documents/Indigo/indigo_history.sqlite

TED - The Energy Detective      Your plugin version, v2.0.0, is current.
TED - The Energy Detective      Polling Interval: 5
SQL Logger                      updating all variable tables

Note that this section appears to be repeated once.

However, if I open a remote Indigo session on another machine and look at the exact same section of the log, I see this:

WebServer                        started on port 8176 -- digest authentication enabled
Started plugin "SQL Logger 2.0.5"
SQL Logger                        connected to /Users/hft/Documents/Indigo/indigo_history.sqlite

SQL Logger                        updating all device tables
TED - The Energy Detective Your plugin version, v2.0.0, is current.
TED - The Energy Detective Polling Interval: 5
SQL Logger                        updating all variable tables

Note that I'm only seeing one set of these entries in the remote log.

Ideas? Is this an issue?

Thanks.

Re: PlugIn Instantiation Question

I don't believe it's an issue, though I'm not sure what's going on. You can look at the actual log file (which is formatted slightly differently) and see if the messages are actually repeated in there. It's in:

Code: Select all
/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7/Logs/

Re: PlugIn Instantiation Question

Because of some timing issues the Indigo client window can show some duplicate log messages when it first starts up. It is purely an Indigo client / UI glitch though – the log file itself should have the entries only once.

Re: PlugIn Instantiation Question

Curious... The raw log file shows only the single iteration of the line items - but every time I restart the main machine (hosting Indigo Server), I get the duplicate entries. BTW, I started examining this because my TED 5000 plugin started locking up on me a few weeks ago (viewtopic.php?f=143&t=18670).
