2414U error

I am having problems with Indigo. When I restarted my computer it says the following.."You have installed a new controller" and prompts me to sync. When I click the sync button it states that the 24q4U is not connected. I checked the connection and I know that it is connected-

The only thing I have done is updated nodejs to 7.7.1

I have also reinstalled indigo to make sure there was not any other issues

Any ideas what is going on?

When I run Indigo 6 it finds the controller. So there must be something wrong with the installation. I have reinstalled Indigo 7 three times. There must be a left over preference file. Any suggestion which one I should delete?

Open the Event Log window and have Indigo try to connect to the PowerLinc. Select all and copy/paste (don't do a screen shot) the results into a reply for me.

A few questions:

1) You have the PowerLinc 2414U and not the 2413U?
2) Have you tried swapping the USB cable and tried other USB ports?
3) When testing on Indigo 6 versus Indigo 7 are you running on the same Mac (booted from the same version of the OS)?

I am running Indigo 6 on the same Mac as Indigo 7.

I have tried both a 2414and 2413. Both work with Indigo 6 and not Indigo 7

Ok I think I figured out what was happening. Somehow the interface got set to Powerlink - USB not USB/serial.

I changed the config to USB/serial and choose usbserialpA6028O1Z and it is not working. Somehow the got changed on a restart of the computer?

There are unique menu items you have to choose for the 2413U versus the older 2414U. The former requires that you also then select a serial port (another popup menu below the first one), the latter (2414U) doesn't because it uses the OS's internal USB HID driver. I'm not sure how any of those settings could have spontaneously changed – we don't have any other reports of that occurring.
