I have the outgoing email server settings using google SMTP

The email get's sent (no error in the log) but no email received.
I purposely made a incorrect setting in theIndigo server SMTP setting and received an error when trying to send email. Corrected it again
and no error but no email received either...... Ant ideas? I have also used numerous email recipient as well.

Thanks

Try stopping and restarting the Indigo Server (not just the client). It is possible there is a corrupt email in Indigo's internal queue that is preventing subsequent emails from being sent.

Also try sending emails to different email addresses you might have. Do any of them work?

iCloud won't work because it is IMAP only (Indigo supports POP and SMTP). GMail should definitely work though – I use it personally myself without any problems.

Did you happen to enable (or have already had enabled) two factor authentication for your Google account?

MUST BE IT!

So now what? IS there another account I can use?

Sign-in attempt prevented
Hi Don,
Someone just tried to sign in to your Google Account xxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com from an app that doesn't meet modern security standards.

We strongly recommend that you use a secure app, like Gmail, to access your account. All apps made by Google meet these security standards. Using a less secure app, on the other hand, could leave your account vulnerable. Learn more.

Google stopped this sign-in attempt, but you should review your recently used devices:

Okay, this is slightly different than the two-factor but vaguely related as it is part of their security settings. You can enable the sign-in... had to search, but found the page that I had passed on to another user once:

https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6009563

The second option on there tells how to enable the sign-in for older apps ("Your device or app may not support Google’s security standards").

Any update on making Indigo not be a "less secure app" in the eyes of Google?

For now, I just used a gmail account I set up specifically for Indigo so I don't have to compromise the security of my main gmail account.
