Re: Mavericks Compatibility

did the server really stop? check system monitor to see if there is anything indigo running after you stop indigo

I had / have issues stopping indigo. only after indigo really stops and you manually start indigo I get mine to work ok.

Re: Mavericks Compatibility

Have you tried a restart of the Mac itself?

Re: Mavericks Compatibility

Hmmm... I'm not sure then. Are you running the script from the Script Editor application? Try running it from there as well as embedded in Indigo.

Can you command other applications like iTunes?

Here is a report of the same problem in Mavericks only with iTunes. A reboot ended up getting it working for that user.

Re: Mavericks Compatibility

Look in the console log for errors when you run the script...

Running the script inside of the editor results in the error. Running it embedded in Indigo as an action results in the script working correctly.

Running a script to play iTunes in the applescript editor plays iTunes as expected.

I just realized I had a windchill calculation that I was running for local wind speed and temperature that stopped working a few days ago too. That one I could embed to get working properly.

However I'm using the "Find my friends" service to email a monitored account in mail.app that uses rules to fire off an applescript that controls a variable in Indigo. This script I have to run that way and is where I'm getting stuck.

Nothing that I see related to indigo or my script when it fails. :/

Re: Mavericks Compatibility

Nothing with sandbox or guardian in the description? It might not necessarily have Indigo in the log message...

Re: Mavericks Compatibility

From the Terminal copy/paste these two lines individually:

Code: Select all
osascript -e 'tell application "iTunes" to play'
osascript -e 'tell application "IndigoServer" to log "hello there"'

Does iTunes start to play?

Does "hello there" appear in the Event Log?

Any errors?

Result of iTunes Command is playing of iTunes.

Results of indigo command with nothing appearing in the event log:

Code: Select all
Server:~ ddewey$ osascript -e 'tell application "IndigoServer" to log "hello there"'
35:52: execution error: IndigoServer got an error: Application isn’t running. (-600)'

Re: Mavericks Compatibility

Try deleting Indigo off that Mac completely, then triple check to see if you have any older copies of Indigo on that Mac. If you do, then delete those as well.

After that, restart your Mac and then re-run the installer again. Maybe that will help unconfuse the OS...
