Re: Troubleshooting "unauthorized access" in shortcut

What does " Web Server Warning HTTP API v2 POST command received, id: '- no message id -' from 'redactedIP' mean?

Two more things to check:

1) Make sure you have the Enable OAuth and API Key authentication enabled in the Start Local Server dialog
2) Make sure you didn't create a secrets file with the magic entry which would disable API keys

Re: Troubleshooting "unauthorized access" in shortcut

I think either you or I posted at the very same time.

The short cut is working now, but I get that
Code: Select all
" Web Server Warning HTTP API v2 POST command received, id: '- no message id -' from 'redactedIP'
message now. What does that mean?

It’s just a security warning. The previous web server did it as well. There’s a setting in the advanced web server settings that lets you turn it off if you don’t want it.

Re: Troubleshooting "unauthorized access" in shortcut

Ah thanks. I think I'll leave it on. I was mainly concerned about the "no message id" part.

Re: Troubleshooting "unauthorized access" in shortcut

You can add a message ID to the API payload if you want -- it's good for identifying which thing fired the API call (WAN IP redacted below).

Code: Select all
Web Server Warning              HTTP API v2 POST command received, id: 'Foyer Lamp Toggle Shortcut' from 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'
