[SOLVED]connection troubles

Having trouble accessing remotely with the indigo touch apt. Not using reflector but the ip address and :8176 port.
Connecting with the touch apt gives a "request time out" error. Connecting using safari on both the mac and iPad with
the same ip address connects with no trouble.
Any suggestions as to how to fix.

Thanks
Elwood

Re: connection troubles

When you're testing with Safari on your iPad, is it on the local network or is it on a remote network?

[SOLVED]connection troubles

Are you connecting from outside (internet)? If you are having port forwarding and connecting to to your server from outside, is really not something I recommend these days. Have you missed all news lately about botnetz and hacking in to everything and turning your devices in to slaves in big attacks.

Re: connection troubles

Got it working, looks like it was a flaky iPad. Were connecting remotely over the internet, tried the iPad apt again and still no connection
Than tried the iPhone and that worked. So I did a power down restart on the iPad and now it is connecting remotely.

Thanks for the quick response.
