iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

I am running a Control Page on my iPad that has nothing but 3 image streams from 3x 720p cameras, powered by SecuritySpy and its plugin.
Every few minutes, Indigo Touch crashes and returns to Springboard.
There are no comments in the eventlog to debug.
I have completely erased the iPad and installed only Indigo Touch i.e. there's no legacy settings that are messing it up.
Is there a way to figure out what's causing it to crash?

My control page is as shown below and the URL that you can't read all of is:

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

Oddly enough I'm getting this too. At first I thought it was the iPad but I couldn't find anything wrong with it. Is it an iPad 2 by any chance?

Computer says no.

iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

(I found I could make it more stable by reducing the refresh times but it doesn't stop it completely)

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

It's an iPad 4th generation (A6X processor).
You may be onto something with frame rate. When it's at home on my LAN, it crashes every few minutes (less than 15). I brought it to work with me and am accessing the same 3 cameras but over the internet (let's assume that reduces the frame rate) and it's been running all morning without so much as a hiccup.

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

Yeah originally I had 6 cameras set to continually update. I've now set them to 5s and it only crashes once or twice a day, but I've got it set in single app mode so it always reopens anyway.

I was kinda waiting until i7 appears before bringing it up as I have hope it might change the way video feeds work (although the little hints Matt and jay have dropped suggest little or no change to control pages)

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

I've added this to our Indigo Touch todo/investigate list. We'll look into it in detail once Indigo 7 is complete.

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

Thanks Matt. I enabled diagnostics but there was no Indigo crash log created when it crashed.
I have it running today with a 1 second frame rate to see if it's a throughput issue - we'll see if it's still running tonight.
The only 2 files created were security.log.20160831T143904Z and JetsamEvent-2016-08-31-073837.ips
The JetsamEvent file contains a couple of Indigo Touch references - attached in case you see anything obvious.. I had to rename it to get it to upload to the forum.

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

Just to add I've also had this issue when using other apps to generate the control page, so I'm guessing it's not specifically an indigo touch issue. Perhaps the way indigo is providing the information?

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

Update: I changed the refresh rate from continuous to every 1 second and the iPad has been running ever since. (almost a week).

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

Yeah frequency does make a difference.. if I set all of my cameras to continually update the iPad will crash almost immediately. Even my iPad Air will eventually (although it takes a lot longer to happen)

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

I'm gonna expect the usual answer here but i assume there's not been more progress on this? I've now started noticing it on my iPad mini and iPad mini 2 that i've got in other rooms.

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

Working on an Indigo Touch and Indigo Web server rev is definitely on the radar, but we have to catch our breath and answer all these support questions first. :-)

Re: iPad Crashing When I use Indigo Touch

Is there a reason to view the video streams in Indigo Touch rather than the free SecuritySpy app? I just bought SecuritySpy and I'm using the app. Just curious.
