Extending devices

Hello!


Is it possible to extend devices that belong to other plugins for example?

I would ideally like to be able to add a property to each device in the system, including adding the relevant control onto the config ui for the device, but I have no idea if this is even possible!

You can add your own properties to any object in Indigo (this is how the Global Property Manager plugin works). You can then use those properties to maintain extra state, etc.

You can't modify any of the object's built-in UIs (or the ones defined by the plugin for the object), but you can build your own UI to manage those properties and perform actions by selecting the object in an action.
