How are custom device groups created?

I'm working on a plugin which has two custom devices. But one device is the parent of other "sub-devices".

To give an example, when the MIMOLite Z-Wave device is added to the network Indigo shows four different devices but when the edit device is shown, all the devices are there as "Edit Device Group" and there are tabs to edit each device in the group.

Anybody point me to some documentation or example of how this is constructed in the devices.xml file?

Download the SDK and look at the Device Factory example.

That's what they call the multi-device devices.
