Remove Python 2.6? Point pip at 2.7

Hi all,

I know this isn't quite on topic, but I haven't got anywhere else to post this. I'm running El Capitan & Indigo 7. Trying to use the Security Camera plugin, I need to install PIL. When I do that, pip apparently installs it in the Python 2.6 instance, which Indigo doesn't use and Security Camera can't either.

which python just tells me
Code: Select all
/usr/bin/python
though in there I see 2.6 and 2.7.
So, I need to know

Is there a way to get pip to work with the other instance of Python? Is it as simple as
Code: Select all
sudo port select --set python python27
oris that just for MacPorts?
if not
Is it OK to uninstall Python 2.6? I found these directionsand can probably follow them targeting 2.6.

Maybe, maybe I have it. This maybe worked:
Code: Select all
2doghill:bin macadmin$ sudo /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/bin/python2.7 /usr/local/bin/pip install pillow

SmartThings refugee, so happy to be on Indigo. Monterey on a base M1 Mini w/Harmony Hub, Hue, DomoPad, Dynamic URL, Device Extensions, HomeKitLink, Grafana, Plex, uniFAP, Fantastic Weather, Nanoleaf, LED Simple Effects, Bond Home, Camect.

You should be able to use pip2.7 to install for Python 2.7. You might need to "sudo easy_install pip2.7" first.
