[SOLVED]: Indigo client. Broken layout

Hi,

I don´t remember exactly the steps I followed.
I was resizing the columns from the device's grid at the right side of Indigo client (state, name, address, etc)
After some bad mouse movements, I lost the "left side folder navigator" (devices, triggers, etc).
A screen capture is attached.

I have tried reinstalling indigo.
I have tried removing "Indigo 6 Client Prefs.indiPref", "Indigo 6 Client Settings.indiPref", "com.perceptiveautomation.indigo-client6.plist" from Library/Preferences Osx folder.

But, without success.

Can you help me?

Re: Indigo client. Broken layout

This has happened to me as well. Jay gave me the following advice, which solved the issue:

Dave

Mac OS X automatically creates/manages those files for Mac UI applications and seen occasionally that they sometimes get corrupted with incorrect sizing information. Try quitting the client, and delete these files:

~/Library/Preferences/com.perceptiveautomation.indigo-client6.plist
~/Library/Preferences/Indigo 6 Client Settings.plist
~/Library/Preferences/Indigo 6 Client Prefs.plist

There may be other files with similar names - delete those as well. Those are all the files where the Mac UI app saves control sizes, etc. Once you've deleted them, start the client back up and the UI should be completely reset (this doesn't effect the server or your database in any way).

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Re: Indigo client. Broken layout

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your help

As I said in my first post, I have tried deleting theses files:

- ~/Library/Preferences/com.perceptiveautomation.indigo-client6.plist
- ~/Library/Preferences/Indigo 6 Client Prefs.indiPref
- ~/Library/Preferences/Indigo 6 Client Settings.indiPref

I can not see "Indigo 6 Client *.plist" files in my system
I have search them entering terminal, thinking they where hidden, but no luck (ls -la ~/Library/Preferences/*Indigo*)
I can see different "file extensions" for two of them. You point to ".plist" files. I can see ".indiPref" files in my Mac.
I upgraded to Yosemite time ago and reinstalled Indigo from scratch. So, maybe now the new extensions for this files is ".indiPref"
My Indigo has release 6.1.6

I have found other user with the same problem:
viewtopic.php?f=75&t=12718

But, the answer was uninstall and reinstall the system.

Anybody have a more "surgical" solution?
