Mac Client connection error

:( Hi Guys,

Sorry to have to re-open this topic but I have started to get the same issues again on my Client MAC Book when trying to connect to my server......I have rebooted the server but still get the issue, I can connect via the Reflector Service.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Dave

Re: Mac Client connection error

Are you trying to connect to a server on the same Mac as the client that's getting the error? Is the server you're trying to connect to a full Pro licensed server?

[MODERATOR NOTE] moved to the Mac client forum since the error has nothing to do with Indigo Touch

Re: Mac Client connection error

Hi Jay,

Thanks for the reply, I am trying to connect my Indigo Client on my Remote MBP to my server MAC Mini at home, I am running the full Pro Version, Ive been able to connect for a while now and have been editing my CP's remotely, I had the same problem a few months back and a reboot of the Server MAC Mini seemed to sort it out......seems not to have worked this time,

Cheers,

Dav

Re: Mac Client connection error

Are you sure that you have the port forwarding set up on your router for the correct port and the external IP for your Mac are set correctly? The Mac client doesn't use the same port as the reflector nor can it work with the reflector so you have to have port forwarding set up with a fixed IP (or a dynamic dns server).

Re: Mac Client connection error

I have a small script which saves my dynamic (external) IP to an Indigo variable. Then I just look up my current IP in Indigo Touch and I'm in business. I can share that script if it would be helpful.

Re: Mac Client connection error

I'm not sure exactly what is going wrong here. Indigo Pro should allow up to 20 Indigo clients to connect (note Indigo Tough and Web browser connections are NOT counted towards the total). I wonder if the network connection is sometimes flaking out and previous connections aren't being fully closed down, resulting into running into the 20 limit after a while. An Indigo Server restart should definitely clear all the connections though and let you remotely connect.
