That coupled with a few other life events have made it difficult for me to concentrate properly and as a result code and debug.
However, Mrs Chameleon is finally fed up with me moping around the house and is very keen for me to get back to my hobby, It's been a few months and I can see that there are a lot of questions that need answering so I'm prioritising a list of things I'm going to deal with and share it with you all online. I've also got some updates that you'll find useful to my plugins as well as some new ideas.
Thanks for your patience and I promise to start dealing with all of your questions as soon as possible.
Regards
Mike (Chameleon)

It's been a great response and we've ditched a lot of bugs and awkward UI issues that people didn't like. There were also a few user requests for additional fields and I've added those. That said, if you've already created a control page it'll work just fine with the latest version - but you might like some of the new fields
As promised in the last post I've been working hard to remove any bugs or issues that people have discovered - thanks so much for all your efforts! Some of the issues were just bad coding, others bad logic and the rest simply improvements in the UI, colours and performance. I'm feel quite happy with the code now - but we'll see if my confidence is misplaced in this release
New Fields
There were a number of requests for new fields so I've added those in this release. The first additions were a count down to Santa's take off from the North Pole (timeToTakeOff and sleighStatus) which provide a countdown clock for use on Control Pages and once Santa has left it provides other information such as ON THE GROUND,IN THE AIR or LANDED as and FLYING, DELIVERING GIFTS or BACK HOME as appropriate
This is my new Control Page (you can download the template from the links above):
Screen Shot 2016-12-22 at 16.17.41.png This shot shows the countdown clock as the Tracker waits for the optimum time for Santa to leave
Check the iFindStuff forum for FAQs and responses to past issues......
Best regards and seasons greetings
Mike

However, no longer. I'm going to releasing another unusual plugin for UK users (at least at the moment) that can link your Indigo Setup to the Network Rail timetable & station information database. It will also link the Highways Traffic England into Indigo at a later date.
You might be wondering - why would I want to do that? .... and it's a good question.
I currently track the trains that I use everyday to get about the country and I simply wanted to know what was happening on my trains each morning. Were there delays? Was my usual train cancelled? If I'm running late - can it let my taxi (or wife in this case) know through a message? Do I really have to get up at the crack of dawn to catch a train or isn't it running? Can I make sure that the heating, lighting or alarm system knows that I'm going to be back later than usual?
The plugin will allow you to set up special STATION devices. For example, in my case Farnborough (Main). It automatically accesses the National Rail information API and extracts the current departure board, examines all services for the next few hours to identify any problems/issues and sets issue triggers if there's any problems that I'd like to act on. I can even set up a device that filters specific services at the station - e.g. those calling at Winchester or direct services only.
This information is then available for control pages and triggers. I've also provided new functionality that automatically takes the information (e.g. departure board) and creates a refreshing URL image automatically if you'd like to include the departure board itself on the control page.
Apart from the uses I've mentioned I'm also going to use it as a 'training' plugin for people who are wondering how to get started with plugins and how to code them so you might like to follow it's progress and the story that will unfold in the next week or so.
As usual I'm looking for any BETA testers who'd like to trial the plugin so let me know if you want to be on the list.
Later in the year I'm going to add Traffic functionality with special ROUTE devices. It'll tell you if there's any problems on your commute and warn you early if you want notice or to set some alarms based on traffic problems.
You'll also be able to access the train and route information directly on an iPhone app if I can get it working reliably
Thanks as ever
Mike

Oooooooh and a plugin for plugins that can automate plugins. Inception?

I've managed to talk to the kettle and get it to switch on/off but no more than that really. I've found a load of info here:-http://www.awe.com/mark/blog/tags/ha Let me know if you fancy taking it on [emoji3].

Like most things with Indigo, you just forget about them after a while as they become the norm. This is a good thing - this whole setup should not require constant tinkering. The fact that one does is out of choice not necessity.
Funnily enough I went in this morning to add a trigger with iFindstuff - moved a dimmer yesterday.
It's good to know your absence from the forums was only for good reasons

I've been returning a favour to a good friend where I promised to support a teaching initiative in a few countries and I've been a) knackered and b) suffered from a lack of internet access. However, I'm now back and ready to code!
To help me get started/motivated I could really do with some ideas and hints of what to concentrate on for my plugins. I've been through all of the comments that I've received in the last months and I've responded to most of them. Of could a lot of them are probably out of date or already answered. BTW - thanks to those of you who picked up the slack it was greatly appreciated.
Anyway I'd like some comments back from the community on the plugins...
You can reply to this post with the following:
Bugs or issues you'd like me to resolve New features that you think we should be adding Ideas for new plugins
If you can post back with:
NAME OF PLUGIN (iFindStuff, NEST Home or LED Manager) TYPE: Bug, Issue, feature or idea DESCRIPTION: Some comments on what you're looking for ERRORS: Upload a copy of the error file for your plugin (e.g. cut and paste text from the relevant log at: /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 6/Logs/) or the debug messages you'd like me to look at.

I have to travel to London every day on the train and I'd like to know if there are any problems before I leave the house. Sometimes it might be another destination so Indigo needs to be able to look at others as well
My family, especially my two girls, are always overspending on their mobile phones - can I get indigo to give me a warning in advance?
We like to watch Netflix but it's a real pain when we change what country we're in to get different films - could indigo logout and automatically log us back into a different account?
and so on
Keep an eye on the forum. Everything I do is open source at the moment so you're welcome to look at the underlying code and help me improve it. I always make sure the code is well commented so you can work out how it works but don't be afraid to ask me
